Dr. Shu-Yin Wang, Acting President of Chinese Culture University, attended the joint graduation ceremony on December 17 to celebrate with students for their completing the Overseas Youth Vocational Training Program (OYVTP). There are a total of 63 students enrolled in CCU completing the program, including 26 in Tourism and Hospitality Management, 23 in the Baking and Bakery Management, 13 in the Department of Cosmetology and Fashion Styling. Dr. Wang congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to pursue their careers.

OYVTP was sponsored by the Overseas Community Affairs Council along with thirteen universities in Taiwan. A total of 668 overseas compatriot youth from Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Argentina, and New Zealand are graduating this year. During the ceremony, students presented dynamic live performances, exhibitions of digital media content, Chinese pop music, mechanic work, and farming results, showing their excellent learning outcomes.

In his speech, Minister Chen-Yuan Tung expressed his congratulations to the graduates for having spent two years completing their professional training and achieving their goals. He also thanks all the universities offering education and assistance to these students. He believed with practical knowledge and hands-on training, students have developed the competitive edge to excel in the job market. He encouraged students either to go back to their hometown to start their careers or to stay in Taiwan for further studies.

Acting President Shu-Yin Wang attended the joint ceremony held in Kun Shan University in Tainan to celebrate students’ graduation. She encourages students to start their career in their country and make the school proud of having them in CCU. She enjoyed the graduation exhibitions of the students. The graduates performed their skills in a fashion design show with “The Vibration of Life” as its theme, presenting their enthusiasm and braveness in facing adversity.
