Ambassadors and ministers of Haiti, Saint Vincent, Republic of Nauru, Saint Lucia visited Chinese Culture University on November 17 and were warmly welcomed by the faculty. The visit was to promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange.

This was the first time the representatives of the embassy from four diplomatic allies came together to visit CCU. Thanks to the introduction of Professor Yang from the Department of Political Science and Professor Wang from the Department of Mass Communication, Ambassador Roudy Stanley Penn of Haiti and Edwin Laurent of Saint Lucia had given a speech to students in CCU about climate change and the Creole language and culture in November this year.

Accompanied by the vice president of the Academic Affairs Department, vice president of the Office of International and Mainland China Affairs, and Dean of College of Mass Communication, two ambassadors and two ministers spent time enjoying the beautiful views of the university and a bird’s eye view of the Taipei City form the highest building of the campus. On behave of the university, the faculty members introduced the exchange programs offered to international students. On the basis of the friendly official relations between the four countries and Taiwan, it is beneficial for scholars and students to have more opportunities to learn and work together.

After the introduction, the ambassadors and ministers had a further understanding of our global English programs and the effort CCU had put in promoting international cultural exchange. They agreed that more exchange and communication was essential for building a long-lasting relationship.
