英國高等教育調查機構Quacquarelli Symonds（QS）公布2024世界大學永續發展排名，中國文化大學首度入榜表現不俗，亞洲排名257、台灣則位居第23名、國內私校排名則擠進前10。此外，文大也在近期完成2023年永續報告書，宣示未來在環境保護、社會責任以及學校治理方面，將投入相關資源，落實校務治理與永續發展。
文大過去在2022到2024年亞洲地區大學排名一直介於401至650名之間，在台灣參與QS亞洲地區排名的優久聯盟私校中，整體排名均位居在第8名。本次在永續發展排名上，文大則是首度獲選，並被列入901到920名次區間。這是文大首次排名進入全球一千名之內，同時也在所有進榜的台灣的大學中，首次名列在前30強。
值得一提的是，文大幾個單一評比項目表現優異。包括了「治理」項目排名全球第284名，領先眾多學校；而「環境影響力」排名更優於同入榜的5所國立大學、以及6所私立大學。
本次公布的永續發展排名主要以下列三大面向進行評比，首先為「環境影響力」，占45%，涵蓋三項指標：「環境教育」、「環境研究」與「環境永續性」三項子指標；其次為「社會影響力」，占45%，涵蓋「就業力與就業成果表現」、「教育構成之影響」、「平等」、健康與福祉與「知識交流」五項子指標；最後是「學校治理」，占10%，僅涵蓋「治理優劣」一項指標，上述ESG三大面向共9項指標，以上子指標所占之權重預計將於明年一月底公布。
文大表示，文大未來將更致力於結合當前國家人才發展的趨勢，致力於推動節能減碳人才培育、新媒體人才培育、以及運動健康產業人才培育，並且緊密結合聯合國永續發展目標（SDGs）及能力關鍵指標，發展為「最貼近社會趨勢的綜合型大學」。
Chinese Culture University is included for the first time in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024, released by the global higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Chinese culture University ranked top 257 among Asian universities, top 23 among Taiwan’s universities, and top 10 among all private universities. In addition, Chinese Culture University has recently completed its Sustainability Report/ESG Report, announcing that it will invest relevant resources to implement school governance and sustainable development.
Chinese Culture University ranked 401 to 650 among universities in Asia from 2022 to 2024, the 8th among 13 universities in the Excellent Long-Established University Consortium of Taiwan. The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 feature 1397 institutions across 95 countries and territories, and Chinese Culture University ranked 901 to 920.
The school is included for the first time the top 30 among Taiwan’s universities listed.
Chinese Culture University excels in several categories, including “governance”, ranked 284, and “social impact,” surpassing five national universities and 6 private universities.
The 2024 QS World University Rankings: Sustainability evaluates universities based on three categories: Environmental Impact, with overall weight of 45%, Social Impact, 45% and Governance, 10%. Each categories comprised of several main indicators. For Environmental Impact, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Education and Environmental Research are the indicators. For social impact, the indicators are Equality, Knowledge Exchange, Impact of Education, Employability & Outcomes and Health & Wellbeing. For Governance, indicators related to good governance such as ethics, hiring practices, transparency and decision making are adopted. The weight for the indicators will be released January 2024.
