閻錫山先生民國38年以行政院長身分率政府遷台，自39年蔣中正總統復行視事，便辭去行政院長，默默地隱居在陽明山種能洞，也就是今日陽明山永公路的閻錫山故居。根據部屬的口述訪談，每當有客人來訪時，總會帶來一些小禮物，這些小禮物可能是蘋果、葡萄、巧克力等在當時比較難以看到的外來品。閻錫山先生常常不吝嗇地將巧克力糖分給小朋友吃。閻錫山故居特別選擇春假與復活節期間辦理「彩繪迎春—閻錫山故居復活節彩繪活動」。
活動辦法：
第一階段： 4/1至4/9開館日（4/3、4/5休館），每日10份。前來參與活動的遊客，每人限領一份，領完為止。只要將繪製完成的彩蛋交至工作人員，即可兌換一份健達出奇蛋以及禮包！
第二階段:：4/9(週日)14:00-16:00。邀請30名文化大學的國際學生至故居參與活動，除贈送出奇蛋及大禮包外，將票選出3顆最受歡迎的彩蛋，繪製者可以獲得100-500元禮券的獎勵！
On April 9, 30 seats are reserved for international students studying at CCU to participate in the Easter egg painting activity at Yan Xishan House. Those who come could decorate the eggs provided by the organizer. CCU will also give out Kinder Surprise Eggs and lucky bags to participants. Painters of the best three decorated eggs will be awarded gift coupons of NT$100-500.
Yan Xishan was the former premiere. Yan Xishan House was built in 1951 by Yan and his subordinates. Premiere Yan liked to give out sweets he received from his quests. To pass out his legacy, CCU, the current operator of the House is holding the Easter egg painting event during the spring break.
The event is also open to visitors from April 1 to April 9. The House is closed for the national holidays, April 3 to April 5.
